Here are the ways you can get involved:
1. Speak to community groups or distribute info at events
We will hold three training sessions at the end of August to equip you to effectively spread the word about voting FOR the ESP levy. If you'd like to help by speaking to a community group, let us know.
2. Hold a fundraiser
Everything we do to reach voters takes money. So every dollar you can help us raise enables us to spread the word. You can host a house party, organize a bake sale, or just call some friends. If you'd like more ideas or would like to get involved with our fundraising efforts, please contact us.
3. Display a yard sign
Yard signs are now available! Sign up now to request a sign and we'll get it to you. If you would like a big 4ft. by 4 ft. sign, let us know.
4. Spread the word
Like our Facebook page, engage with us, and share with your friends! It's critical that we reach as many people as possible to let them know how important the senior services levy is to our community. We have tools on our website to help you get started.
5. Participate in honk-ins, work the polls
Details will be announced early this fall. These activities take place just before or on Election Day, November 7. Stay tuned for more information this summer.
6. Make some phone calls
Voters need to hear from people who are passionate about the Senior Services levy and the Elderly Services Program. Pick up the phone and share your passion at a phone banking event. Phone banking occurs every Thursday, 5:30-8pm at the Urban League of Cincinnati. Email us for more information about how you can get involved.
7. Visit voters where they live
Sometimes, the best way to reach voters is by going to them. We'll need volunteers to canvas local neighborhoods, going door-to-door to explain the importance of the levy and to provide literature to these voters, who might not otherwise have access to this information. Canvassing happens every Saturday from 10am - 1pm. Email us if you'd like more information about canvassing for the Senior Services tax levy.
