Get involved to support our Senior Citizens

Issue 1, Butler County’s Senior Services Levy, will be on the ballot this November, and we need your help to spread the word. The levy funds the Elderly Services Program (ESP) which helps more than 4,000 Butler County seniors remain independent in their homes through services like meal delivery, transportation, and personal care.

For the first time in 20 years, we’re asking voters for additional funding because Butler County’s aging population has grown dramatically. Without this levy, ESP will end.

But you can make a difference! Join our volunteer team to protect this lifeline for Butler County families.  There are many ways to show your support. Take a look at the list below and then use our Get Involved form to sign up.

Ways you can help:
  • Speak to public groups about the importance of the programs funded by the levy
  • Put a yard sign at your house or business (details below!)
  • Put a large 4x4 sign at your house or business
  • Help secure permission to put a yard sign or a 4x4 sign at other places throughout the county
  • Help assemble yard signs (TBD based on sign delivery)
  • Help deliver signs and/or install 4x4 signs
  • Participate in a “Honk and Wave” or host your own (Oct. 31 and Nov. 3, times and locations TBD)
  • Hold a sign, pass out info at the polls on Tuesday, November 4
  • Share a story about how the levy has impacted you or your family
